Description
Run up to Xmas a unique collection of both pre- and post-war Dinky Toys Meccano 25H and 25K Streamlined Fire Engines from a private collector.
From left of the first photo: 1936 - 25H no chassis (rare): crack fatique on rear, play wear, tires may have been replaced. 1937-39 - 25K with firemen chassis (rare): repainted at some stage, bell and tires replaced, slight warp on chassis. 1941 - 25H with chassis: unrestored as is extremely playworn, tires replaced. 1946-54 - 25H bit of playwear, unrestored original.
One has to remember that the oldest two are 76-78 years old and are well traveled as well as survived WW2.
NOTE: Final week. Goes back into the collection. Remember, the 25K with Firemen is very difficult to obtain. It is sought after.
