You are bidding on a rare Lego Sculpture plane, the10124: Wright Flyer Plane (flown in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina) from 2003 !! This is an exceptional set featuring an aviation history icon... This from the Sculptures series, but the Lego book lists them under the Creator category.

This plane wingspan measures 21" (54cm), it is 19" (50cm) long and it is made of 664 parts. Includes original box and manual. It is in used condition, most parts have been glued together by the previous owner. Disappointing, it is almost complete bar a few missing and replaced pieces. Some parts even broke due to being glued. Otherwise there are no signs of usage. The manual also has some glue residue. The original box is not bad for its age, but not mint and has some tape over it - still rather rare to have it included.

Missing parts:

1x Brown Technic, Link 1 x 9 1x Brown Technic, Pin Connector Plate 1 x 2 x 1 2/3 with 2 Holes (Double on Top) 1x Brown Technic, Pin Connector Plate with One Hole (Single on Bottom)

Replaced:

1x Brown Plate 1 x 1 tiny square with black 2x Brown Brick 1 x 2 x 5 with Reddish Brown 1x Brown Plate 1 x 8 with Reddish Brown 1x Tan Tile, Modified 6 x 16 with Studs on Edges with Dark Tan 6 x 16 Plate, placed somewhat hidden center of the bottom wing, see inset.

This reminds me of Legoland made with classic parts, quite a surprising construction. A stunning display item, quite a conversation piece. This would look fantastic together with the Red Baron (10024) and the Sopwith Camel (3451 or 10226). Does not come up for sale very often and highly sought after. A reluctant sale.
