THE OPPORTUNITY
As Production Manager (2IC) at Aoraki Organic, you’ll be expected to take initiative, communicate clearly, and help foster a positive and collaborative team culture. With the support of an experienced Farm Manager and access to professional development opportunities, this is a great step forward for someone ready to take the lead on a dynamic and progressive property.
This is a hands-on role, you will confidently be involved in areas such as milking, animal health, pasture and feed management, calving, calf rearing, effluent management, farm presentation, and health and safety. You may also help support and coach the team, take part in meetings, keep good records, and step up when the Farm Manager is away.
You’ll be joining a supportive team where your practical farming skills, care for animals, and leadership potential will be valued. This is a great next step if you’re ready to keep growing your dairy career.

THE PAMU FARM
Pamu's Aoraki Dairy Unit is a certified organic farm has a great location 10 minutes out of Foxton and 40mins from Palmerston North with plenty of recreational activities on the door step. On this 196-hectare effective property we spring calve 485 cows milking through a 50-bail rotary cowshed with Milk hub, ACR’s and auto plant wash, plus incorporated Halter technology into our system.
We run a 5on 2off roster most of the year with 6on 2off for 8weeks during calving.

- A Minimum 2 years dairy farming experience, including milking, animal health, pasture management, and calving
- A calm, practical approach and the confidence to help guide others
- A strong focus on animal care, health and safety, and doing the job well
- Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Confidence using computers and technology, farm records and systems, or a willingness to learn
- A current full New Zealand driver’s licence
