THE OPPORTUNITY
If you’re keen to get into farming, return to farming, or pick up casual work that fits around the rest of your life, this could be a great opportunity.
As a Casual Farm Assistant, you’ll help the team when extra support is needed, such as when people are away or during busier times on farm. The work is varied, practical, and hands-on.
Depending on the day, you could be helping with milking, calf-rearing, fencing, weed control, and other general farm duties.
You don’t need to know everything already. You’ll be working alongside an experienced team who can show you how things are done and help you build confidence on farm. What matters most is that you are reliable, willing to learn, and comfortable working as part of a team.
At Pamu, safety and wellbeing are important. You’ll have access to well-maintained equipment and clear health and safety practices, so you can feel supported while you work.
This is a drive-in/drive-out role, so you’ll need reliable transport to get to and from the farm.
ABOUT YOU
You’ll enjoy practical work, being outdoors, and being part of a team where people help each other out.
You may already have some dairy experience, or you may be looking for a chance to build your skills in a supportive farm environment.
Ideally, you’ll bring:

BENEFITS
You’ll be part of a supportive team where you can learn from others, build your confidence, and gain hands-on dairy farming experience. We offer a competitive hourly rate, well-maintained equipment, and a workplace where safety and wellbeing are taken seriously.
