About the role
As a Caregiver at Alden, you'll deliver high-quality personal care and support residents' wellbeing. You'll work closely with nursing staff and the care team to maintain smooth, safe, and culturally responsive care throughout your shift. Some caregiving experience preferred. Weekend shifts available.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide personal care with respect and compassion
- Support residents' physical, emotional, and social wellbeing
- Observe and report changes in resident health and behaviour
- Maintain a safe, clean, and culturally responsive environment, upholding Tikanga Maori practices
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of care
Skills & experience
- NZQA Level 2 or 3 Health & Wellbeing qualification (essential)
- Experience in aged care, preferably as a caregiver
- Strong understanding of Health & Disability Sector Standards
- Calm, professional, and reliable approach
- NZ residency or valid NZ work visa (essential)
