About the role
You'll run your own station during service, working alongside our kitchen team to keep food quality and consistency high across a busy, high-volume kitchen. Day to day this includes:
Preparing and cooking dishes to recipe and portion spec for your station
Managing mise en place and stock levels for your section
Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards throughout service
Supporting the wider kitchen team during peak service periods
Training and guiding junior kitchen staff on your station as needed
Pay: $28.00–$32.00 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Full-time, minimum 30 hours guaranteed per week
Location: Mexico Silverdale, Auckland
What we're looking for
A relevant cookery qualification (NZQA Level 4 or equivalent) and/or at least 1–2 years' experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role in a commercial kitchen
Solid food safety knowledge and hygiene practice
Ability to work under pressure during busy service
Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as rostered
