Are you looking for a centre full of aroha and warmth? Do you have a passion for working with tamariki? Are you looking for a home centre where you can learn, laugh and play alongside tamariki?

The Busy Bees centre in beautiful Ashburton is on the lookout for a registered kaiako to join our fun and amazing team for a fixed term period. Our team is full of creative, innovative people who love to learn, laugh, and play alongside our tamariki. As a Kaiako, you'll play a crucial role in helping children develop essential skills and preparing them for lifelong learning.

This is a full time fixed term role from April 2024 – April 2025 with opportunities to go permanent!

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Huge reserves of enthusiasm and energy
  • Competency in planning, curriculum and regular and emergent reviews
  • A personality that builds and develops strong relationships with staff and parents/whanau
  • An ECE or Primary teacher qualification and registration as an ECE teacher in New Zealand
  • A nurturing, caring disposition, and passion for supporting young children to thrive
  • The ability to build and maintain responsive relationships with children and their whanau
  • Excellent communication skills
