HR Business Partner

Our client is one of New Zealand’s largest grower owned post-harvest suppliers. Based in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, they have a history of growth and an uncompromising reputation for looking after their Growers.

Reporting to the General Manager – Human Resources, this role will be responsible for providing human resources support to the Labs, Orchard Management and Grower Services teams across all regions.

The purpose of this role is to maximise people’s potential to achieve business needs through effective recruitment, onboarding, training, engagement, employment relations and workforce planning. Most importantly, you will need to be resilient, as this is a busy and varied role where no two days are ever the same.

You will also need to have:

• At least 5 years’ experience in human resources. A tertiary qualification is an advantage
• Able to handle HR related mattes tactfully and professionally in a discreet and confidential manner
• A good knowledge of current employment legislation
• An understanding of workplace Health & Safety
• A high level of computer literacy including experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and using payroll and HR systems
• Strong attention to detail, and accuracy
• People skills – ability to communicate well and relate to a wide range of people
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Strong problem solving, planning and time management skills
• Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as required
