Senior Project Manager

Are you an experienced project manager with a passion for excellence in construction management? We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Manager to join our client's dynamic team based in Te Atatu South.

Our client is one of New Zealand's leading structural maintenance, seismic strengthening and concrete repairs contractors, offering strengthening and upgrade projects using the installation of seismic reinforcement systems, and concrete repair for buildings and infrastructures.

Lead diverse projects, mentor their talented team, and drive operational success while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental management.

Job Details:

Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Location: Based in Te Atatu South, Auckland – travel to other sites will be required Reports to: Operations Manager Direct Reports: Project Managers, Site Engineers, Site Supervisors/Foremen Salary: 140k+ depending on experience. Comes with company car, phone and laptop

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Mentoring: Mentor and guide other Project Managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Project Management: Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, meeting all client and regulatory requirements.
• Compliance: Implement and maintain ISO14001 (Environmental Management), ISO9001 (Quality Management), AS/NZS 4801, and OHSAS 18001 (Health & Safety) standards.
• Customer Satisfaction: Promote awareness and ensure compliance with customer satisfaction requirements, addressing and investigating any complaints.
• Health, Safety & Environment: Lead initiatives to identify hazards, control risks, and investigate incidents to maintain a safe work environment.
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical advice, manage programming work, and supervise both employees and contractors.
• Operational Efficiency: Oversee purchasing, liaise with suppliers, ensure jobs run on time and budget, and manage projects from start to finish including documentation, permits, and health & safety protocols.
• Continuous Improvement: Assist with systems and procedures implementation, quoting and estimating projects, and provide detailed reports of completed projects.
• Multiple Site Management: Site Managers/Supervisors and Engineers will report to you as you travel to different projects based in Auckland, Waikato and further North

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience in project management within the construction industry.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO14001, ISO9001, AS/NZS 4801, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Strong commitment to safety and environmental management.
• Able to read and identify any issues with plans
