Foreman Builder | North Shore, Auckland Note: Only NZ residents or citizens will be considered for this role.
About Our Client: Our client is a respected, family-oriented construction company based in Auckland, specializing in roofing, construction, and building maintenance. They have recently secured an exciting new project in the vibrant North Shore area!
Position Overview: As a Foreman Builder, you will oversee all aspects of construction projects from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include managing and coordinating construction activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining high-quality standards. Your leadership and expertise will motivate and guide construction teams to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead construction crews, subcontractors, and on-site personnel.
- May require performing hands-on tasks alongside the construction team
- Interpret drawings and specifications to ensure accurate construction.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and architects to resolve issues.
- Implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures.
- Monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with building codes.
- Manage material procurement, inventory, and equipment efficiently.
- Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders and participate in project meetings.
- Mentor and train staff to enhance their skills and on-site performance.
About You:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Foreman Builder or in a similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
- Proficient in using construction tools, equipment, and technology.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
