Current job feeling a little stale? Looking for a new job to kickstart your 2024? Well look no further, we are looking for a friendly, competent, team player to join our Rental car mechanic team near the Christchurch Airport as a Mechanic looking after our own fleet - both cars and trucks

We are looking for someone to join our team who is ready to hit the ground running.

Key Duties:

• Maintenance of vehicles, which includes servicing, repairing, and general safety checks - both small trucks and cars (incl hybrids)
• Making sure the safety of the vehicles is up to the standard we aim for
• Changing tires
• Small repair jobs and replacing damaged parts of the vehicles
• Diagnosing and repairing vehicles
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
• Other duties that are provided by Snap

Key Skills Required:

• Relevant qualifications as a mechanic or 3 years minimum relevant experience
• Ability to demonstrate previous experience in similar role
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance programs for vehicles
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Customer service skills / Communication skills to deal with other team members, branch members and key support team members
• To be able to work autonomously while being a contributing team member
• To be able to work unsupervised safely
• Keep clean and tidy tools and workshop
• Pay rate between 28-32 per hour
• 35-40 hours+ per week
