About the Role
We are looking for a Forklift Operator to be based at our customer's site in the Selwyn District (Dunsandel). Please note that this role may involve working in the yard outside, rain or shine! You will be working in a fast paced environment to assist with removing recycling and waste from different stations around the site. Whilst forklift operation will be a big part of your day, you are also expected to carry out other tasks that involve manual handling so you must be physically fit. The successful candidate must have an OSH Forklift Certificate and F endorsement on your license. You must be confident operating a forklift, including operating a counterbalance. You will also be doing some paperwork however this will be minimal. The hours of work are on a rotating basis of 06:30AM - 05:00PM for 2 weeks and then 06:30PM -05:00AM Sunday - Wednesday.
Skills & Experience
- Full Driver's License
- OSH Forklift Operator's certificate with strong forklift experience
- F endorsement on your license
- Good computer skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly
- Willingness to be able to lend a hand where required and understand that no two days may be the same
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and pass random drug tests throughout your employment
- Have no criminal convictions
- Thorough with good attention to detail
- Physically able
- Strong communication skills
- Possess a keen and positive attitude
- Be able to follow all Health & Safety protocols and procedures
