Hydro Excavation - Operators/Drivers

Location: Hawke's Bay Type: Full time/Permanent Number of positions: 2 Pay range: $29.66 - $35/Hour Days: Monday to Friday (some Saturdays will be required) Hours: Guaranteed 30hours and standard hours of 45-50hrs/week

The Role: The primary responsibility of the operator is to excavate soil and other materials safely and effectively from the ground using hydro-excavation equipment. The operator must also maintain the equipment and ensure that it is in good working condition.

• Operate and control high-pressure water and vacuum trucks used for excavation purposes.
• Safely and effectively excavate soil and other materials from the ground using hydro-excavation equipment.
• Ensure that the equipment is in good working condition and perform regular maintenance as required.
• Monitor the work site to ensure that the excavation process is safe and free from hazards.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Document excavation activities and provide regular updates to supervisors and other team members.
• Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure that work is completed on time and to the required standards.

About You:

• At least 1 years' experience in operating and driving hydro-excavator truck.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Experience operating hydro-excavation equipment.
• Knowledge of excavation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions.
