We are currently seeking to employ a Business Support Manager to our Distribution Support team based in Albany, Auckland. In this role, you will you will lead a multi disciplined team focused on servicing and supporting the distribution business.

About the Role

The successful candidates will work on key responsibilities like:

  • Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing business support strategies to drive growth and improvement.
  • Operational Management: Overseeing day-to-day operations, including HQSE, finance, HR, IT, Fleet, Subcontractor, Procurement, Training, and facilities management.
  • Team Leadership: Managing and mentoring a team of support staff.
  • Project Management: Coordinating and delivering special projects, such as process improvements, system implementations, and change initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating operational risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assessing and enhancing business processes, implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Managing budgets, forecasting, and ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Communication: Serving as a liaison between business units, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
  • Health, Safety and Wellbeing: Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all persons impacted by the perimeters business activities.

About you

To be considered, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification related to Engineering or Business.
  • Business or marketing studies preferred.
  • Operations management experience of a large multisite entity is preferred.
  • Experience in business improvement, successful growth, new systems implementation and innovative process review and change programmes.
  • Expertise and experience in working in a technical high transaction environment preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills working with large teams across multiple operational departments.
  • Up to date knowledge of industry trends.
  • Sales or marketing experience.
