Mill Process worker

Table Hand – Katikati

Claymark Group, is New Zealand’s largest manufacturer and exporter of premium pine products made from sustainably managed radiata pine plantations in New Zealand’s central North Island. Employing over 500 employees across six sites, Claymark is experiencing growth and expansion under new ownership. We are looking for Table hands to fill positions in our Sawmill plant. Our ideal candidate will have a good level of physical fitness and stamina. You will be reliable with a strong work ethic. Immediate start available. Full training is provided. Key function and duties:

• Building each packet of timber to predetermined size based on piece count.
• Ensure that you follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with the operation of machine centres as required and directed.
• Meet all grade quality specifications as required by the company at all work centres, at all times.
• Ensure the continuous operation of plant and equipment, including ensuring good communication with the Sawmill Team Leader on all issues is maintained at all times.
• Ensure that all production processes are performed in a manner that contributes to the manufacture of high-grade timber products and complies with the Company’s health and safety policies and procedures.
• Undertake any other duties as may be assigned by the Manager, from time to time, in order to ensure the continuous operation of the business.
• Ensure the work area, you are assigned to, is clean and tidy to Claymark standards.

Hours:

• 6am-3pm Monday to Friday
• 3pm-2am Monday to Thursday

Person Specifications:

• Ability to work unsupervised, be self-motivated and use initiative.
• Ensure you can turn up to work and be on time.
• Work in a safe manner.
• Excellent high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly, concisely and sensitively.
• You MUST provide a negative pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug testing.
