At Hardware Direct, we are a large New Zealand owned Architectural Hardware Business servicing the Auckland, Waikato and BOP regions. We include a locksmith, autodoor and doors business. We are long established and ready to expand into the future.

We require a confident and experienced Administrator to join our commercial projects department that supplies and installs architectural hardware to commercial projects.

The Administrator Contracts manages and coordinates projects to ensure that they are completed efficiently, cost-effectively and in accordance with the agreed contract or purchase order. The role is fast paced, dealing with contractors and installers to ensure smooth running of a contract from start to finish. This position is dealing with Auckland projects and may require site visits to monitor progress and maintain relationships with contractors.

The ideal candidate needs to bring an ability to react to many deadlines and variations as the project builds up to completion. You must be flexible, able to juggle many balls at once and be comfortable dealing with stressful situations. Competency in computer skills, constant calm communication and a willingness to get on and sort it out are hugely beneficial.

Training in architectural hardware and the industry specific software will be provided although if you have experience in Architectural Hardware or Promaster Software we would love that too!

Key duties include:

  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Suppliers, Contractors and Installers and the Hardware Direct Team
  • Review contract documentation including drawings and schedules
  • Processing product & install shipments
  • Process and submit project variations and submit monthly progress claims for all projects
  • Process and submit off-site material agreements and completion documentation
  • Review Contractor health & safety requirements and submit documentation as required

This is a full time position working 40 hours per week, based in our West Auckland Head Office. To be considered you will need at least 4 years' experience in administration.
