The Role We are seeking a highly competent Planner (Dispatch) Support person, to work closely with the Operations & Management Team based in our Auckland Branch. You will have the opportunity to develop a strong understanding of all aspects of our business and grow your knowledge of the Transport and Logistics industry.
We need a problem solver who can think on their feet in an ever-changing, fast paced environment with the type of mind that enjoys numbers and puzzles and thrives on the challenge of making sure all the pieces are in place. What you can offer us:
- Experience in a similar role and/or knowledge of the transport and logistics industry.
- Experience in ICOS or TMS preferred, but not essential.
- A keen willingness to learn and ability to absorb information.
- Excellent geographical knowledge and understanding of New Zealand.
- Consistent, high quality, customer focused approach in all interactions.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent written and numeracy skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills specifically in Excel and Outlook.
- Highly competent in navigating and maintaining information in digital systems.
- A collaborative approach in working toward common goals.
- Strong work ethic, with solid time management and organisation skills
- Adaptable and able to ‘think on your feet’ in a sometimes time pressured environment.
- Effective in establishing long-term relationships and developing strong networks.
- Strong commitment to Health and Safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily networking with our Drivers, Management, Staff in other Branches and Customers.
- Complete outturns for inbound units.
- Create the manifests for all outbound units. Email manifests to receiving Branch’s.
- Send delay notifications of units or freight to receiving branch’s and to CS.
