The applicants need to have at least 2 years DM and Management experience and experience in the following areas:

As the on-shift Duty Manager effect the overall smooth and efficient operation of the business with the primary focus of fostering an on-going positive working relationship with the staff & customer base. To maximise sales volumes and profitability, monitor the gaming room to oversee gaming activities being undertaken by customers, assisting customers, providing bar service and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment. You are required to interact with customers, staff, Department of Internal Affairs (DIA), Gaming Machine Service Technicians, Problem Gambling Services associated with the exclusion process. Owner, staff, customers, suppliers, local authorities (ARLA, Police, RPH etc) You need to:

  • Comply with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and amendments and the Gambling Act 2003.
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the premises liquor, gaming & Tab licenses.
  • Ensure all staff are aware of their obligations pursuant to the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and the company’s liquor license is not jeopardized—this includes patron conduct and intoxication.
  • Assume responsibility for the liquor inventory control and purchasing, ensuring no “stock outs” occur, integrity is maintained in the stock control system, weekly assessments are completed, variances are reported, and remedial action is taken.
  • Ensure the cost-effective bar roster is complied with.
  • Prepare and introduce an on-going calendar of cost-effective promotional initiatives in consultation with the Manager.
  • Ensure all funds and proceeds belonging to the business are accounted for, secured, and locked in the safe before leaving the premises.
  • Maintain and complete the premises incident record book.
  • Manager the staff whilst on duty.
  • Participate as a constructive member of the management team with the view to maximising business sales volumes and profitability. For Gaming & TAB
  • Provide patrons with friendly, efficient and professional service at all times.
  • Building relationships with customers.
  • Provide patrons with information about the operation of the machines.
  • Monitor and identify any signs of harm.
  • Record any signs of harm Identified
  • Being confident to have a conversation with any customer showing signs of harm.
  • Giving patrons information about gambling harm
  • Address and resolve any customer concerns.
  • Attend to any disagreements over machines.
  • Manage player disputes or non-paid prizes in accordance with Game Rules 2022

Emergency

  • Be aware of emergency procedures.
  • Assist patrons in the event of an emergency.

Bar/Bistro Service

  • Provide GUESTS with friendly, efficient and professional service at all times.
  • Monitor customers at all times, looking for signs of being influenced by alcohol or showing signs of intoxication.. ● Respond to any customer complaints.
  • Problem Gambling Awareness Training
  • hold a Current Harm Minimisation training certificate
  • at least 2 years Gaming & Tab experience (TAB manual and Self Service Terminals
  • 2 years DM experience
  • Current Manager’s Certificate in accordance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 ● Ability to supervise staff. ● Positive and professional manner ● Honest and reliable ● Excellent communication and customer service skills ● Well presented at all times ● Ability to respond calmly in stressful situations. ● Ability to handle cash transactions accurately. ● Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. ● Professional demeanor and positive attitude
