As part of our Growth Strategy in Trade we are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our team.

As someone who is a talented and top-performing Trade Sales professional, you'll relish the chance to deliver a quality service while being part of a fresh-thinking and cohesive team.Hitting the ground running will come naturally to you as you're an experienced top performer wanting to build on your success of exceeding sales targets.

This is an opportunity to put your skills to the test and become an integral member of our Trade team.We are looking for someone to take ownership of an established trade account portfolio and be involved in the further development of our Trade business, consistently delivering exceptional customer service, and truly understanding our customers and our customers' businesses.

This role requires:

  • Sound building/construction industry knowledge.
  • A proven sales and relationship management track record within the building industry.
  • Building industry experience preferred or a high performing salesperson in another industry.
  • An eye for emerging markets and you will understand the value of price and margin in building a profitable trade business.
  • Highly self-motivated and comfortable managing fluctuating call cycles.

Reporting directly to the Trade Sales Manager your core focus will be on:

  • Develop Trade customer accounts to grow Market Share in the Waikato Area.
  • Increase sales conversions by implementing regular call cycles, visiting building sites and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure we provide complete solutions and packages for our customers.
  • Ensuring regularity of contact so you can be ahead of the game
  • Attending building industry & trade events to keep up to date with market trends
  • Implementing strategies to profitably grow key product areas including frame and truss, installed solutions, and core building lines.
