The Company Our client is a well-known automation engineering company in Hawkes Bay, with a diverse range of clients in the industrial sector. They design, implement, integrate and commission complete automation solutions to the highest standards. Their main office is located in Hawkes Bay.
The Role As an Robotics Engineer, you will be the expert in ABB robotics product line from both a software automation and hardware standpoint. You will be responsible for PLC, SCADA and HMI development as well as integrating robots into existing systems. You will need to have a strong background in mechatronics, machine vision systems and robotics in general.
Our client offers a flexible role where you have the option to work from home twice a week and they also offer flexible start and finish time. Big variety of different projects in a range of industries and work alongside a tight knit team of engineering experts. There will be some travel required for the lower North Island region, which will be paid at time and a quarter while away.
In summary, the requirements for this role are,
- A degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering or similar
- Extensive robotics experience, ideally with ABB robot range
- Industrial automation experience
- Machine safety, machine vision systems and network configuration
