To keep up with a growing workload in Hamilton, we currently require an experienced Trade Assistant to join our Carpentry team based in Te Rapa.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Trade assistant to join our carpentry team, with a focus on general carpentry and maintenance tasks, while also taking on a backup role to our lead painter. This role will be working closely with an experienced team of tradesmen and will have a focus on customer relations while working on the wide range of sites we visit.

About You:

  • Trade experience, ideally with carpentry maintenance and/or Painting knowledge.
  • Commercial maintenance experience is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge and commitment to Health and Safety.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Ability or willingness to learn to use a tablet/iPad (for job dispatch).

Health & Safety is a priority for Cushman & Wakefield and the successful candidate will be expected to have a good understanding of the H&S requirements and behaviours in commercial environment. Good personal presentation and customer service skills are also essential, as is a clean full driver’s license.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a drug test, complete a Pre-employment Health Questionnaire and MOJ check. A criminal conviction review is also a requirement of the role.
