With six offices throughout the Central North Island and over 80 years in business, Cheal is a firmly established multi-disciplinary consultancy specialising in Civil Engineering, Planning and Surveying.

We are seeking a Chartered Civil Engineer (or close to becoming) to join the Cheal Napier team. This position is ideally suited to someone who likes working as a generalist on complex engineering projects. This is a permanent position where you will be working with a team of skilled professionals to deliver successful engineering projects.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A Degree in Civil Engineering
• 6+ years' experience within the New Zealand Civil Engineering infrastructure environment, including earthworks, roading, sewerage, water supply and stormwater projects in both residential and commercial fields
• Exceptional Client and Project management skills
• Proven experience in job procurement and pricing
• A desire to grow and develop people and business
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A highly proactive work ethic and the desire to exceed client expectations
