Ko te tīmā | About the team The Education and Employment Lead will play a pivotal role in establishing Pātaka Toa, our Education and Employment Service in Te Tauihu. As a well-established service currently based in Porirua, we’re excited to be extending our service further across our tribal region into the Top of the South.

Ko te tūranga mahi | About the role Enabled by our Operations Manager Te Tauihu, the role will be responsible for wayfinding for our whānau to enhance individual, whānau, hapū and Iwi mauri ora outcomes. The role will establish, nurture and grow relationships within the education sector for the creation of a community centred service in Te Tauihu. As well as leading the creation, implementation and continuous improvement of systems and processes for the service, the Lead will effectively manage funding contracts to ensure outcome attainment in a diverse community.

The Lead role is expected to contribute to projects from end-to-end, which includes the leadership, coordination and supporting of relative projects.

  • Proven ability to motivate whānau and advocate for positive outcomes on their behalf
  • Self-motivated, with excellent planning and organizational skills; and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and effectively manage changing priorities
  • Experience in contributing to improving processes and systems for service efficiency.
