The Company:

Our client prides themselves on high health and safety standards. They want to lift New Zealand's building practices for new homes with the goal of achieving greater overall energy efficiency across New Zealand.

The Role:

As a Technical Product Manager, you will spearhead the product release management process, ensuring seamless collaboration between various departments. Your responsibilities will include introducing new products to the supply chain, updating existing products, managing product obsolescence, and implementing and managing the new product release process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the product release management process from inception to obsolescence, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
• Implement product costing and set sell prices for new and existing products, while analysing competitor pricing to maintain competitiveness.
• Cultivate and manage key relationships with local and external suppliers to facilitate prototype tooling and sample development.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as Testing, Manufacturing, and Pre-Fabrication to support prototyping, tooling, and production processes.
• Coordinate design drawings and tooling information to support production and manufacturing requirements.

The Requirements:

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Strong technical background - aluminium and glass manufacturing preferred, but not mandatory.
• Proven experience in product management or related field, with a focus on product lifecycle management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse pricing data and make strategic decisions.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as D365 and proficiency in project management tools.
