We have an opening for a qualified Water Service Person to join our Projects Team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Our highly regarded Water Team services and maintains Nelson’s reticulation network. The role involves every aspect of operation and maintenance of the water supply network, ensuring that it is fully functioning and continuously delivering quality water to homes and businesses. You must have a good level of physical fitness as some manual labouring will be required.
We carry out a wide range of civil and 3 waters construction works including:
- Water and wastewater upgrades
- New and replacement water mains
- Installation of 20mm -150mm Backflow valves
- New installation and replacement of water meters.
- General civil works
Suitable applicants will have:
- 2- 5 years’ experience in civil work
- A Water Reticulation Qualification – Level 4
- Current Class 1 Driver’s Licence, ideally also Class 2 and WTR endorsement
- Competence in operating machinery such as excavators and a variety of power tools – ideally pavement breakers, plate compactors or concrete saws
- A high level of focus for Health and Safety awareness
- A positive attitude, self-motivation and perseverance
- Ability to be a strong team worker and problem solver
