You will bring a genuine empathy for people and the desire to help them make the most of everyday. You will be a team player and have exceptional time management.

As a Caregiver, you will use your skills to:

• Work together in a team to provide a safe, caring, and supportive environment for our residents
• Follow individual resident care plans
• Form lasting relationships with residents and their whanāu | family
• Adapt and support your wider team members to create a great team environment.

He pūkenga tou | Skills & Experience

• A great team spirit with empathy and drive to make a difference in the lives of others.
• Good communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate with residents, their families and your team members.
• Minimum NZQA Level 2 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent New Zealand or overseas qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma in Nursing)
• Experience within aged care would be beneficial, but not essential
• Understanding of Nga Paerewa sectors standards and applying the Treaty of Waitangi standards in the workplace.
