We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Operations Manager to lead our client's Auckland site in Highbrook. Location: Highbrook, Auckland Salary: Negotiable - Depends on experience, please advise what your salary expectations are. Reports to: National Operations Manager Shift: Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm - flexible around this
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety & ESG: Champion a zero-harm culture by ensuring compliance with WHSE systems, conducting regular safety meetings, and addressing unsafe conditions promptly.
- Operational Performance: Enhance productivity through effective planning and execution of maintenance programs, problem-solving, and daily management routines.
- Quality Compliance: Maintain the highest standards of product quality by managing ISO22000 and HACCP systems, implementing audit action plans, and training staff on quality standards.
- Inventory Management: Achieve world-class inventory accuracy by reinforcing good stock management practices and ensuring accurate recording in SAP.
- Staff Management: Lead and motivate a team of 50 employees, aligning them with business goals and fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements to reduce waste and enhance operational efficiency, ensuring the site meets all business targets.
- Cost Management: Optimize site operating costs, including payroll and budget management, to ensure financial targets are met.
Successful candidates will have:
- Experience: Proven management experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement. Experience in RPC packaging, food packaging, or food manufacturing is desirable.
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications are preferred but not essential for candidates with demonstrated leadership ability.
- Skills: Strong leadership and team-building skills, excellent knowledge of WHS regulations, technical aptitude, and a continuous improvement mindset. Experience with SAP and lean manufacturing is a plus.
- Attributes: Analytical problem solver, effective decision-maker, adaptable, and able to work autonomously. Strong work ethic and commitment to achieving business goals.
