About the role:
We are seeking a Distribution Line Mechanic with experience in the construction, maintenance, upgrade and repair of distribution networks to join our Dunedin team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-known and progressive South Island contracting company with interesting projects around the greater Dunedin area.
About you:

What you need to succeed:
- Relevant EWRB Registration and full Practicing License.
- Level 4 NZQA qualification as a Distribution Line Mechanic.
- Full, clean Class 2 driver's license (Class 4 would be advantageous).
- Experience working on ground and structure mounted electrical equipment associated with electric lines up to and including 33kV and the overhaul of non load bearing pole hardware in electrical networks up to 110kV.
- Experience installing, replacing and removing electricity network pole structures and overhead conductors.
- Working knowledge of hot stick and glove and barrier Live Line Procedures and Techniques.
- Willingness and ability to participate in an after-hours faults roster.
More about the role:
- This is a full-time, permanent role working a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Overtime will be paid after 40 hours at a rate of time and a half.
- The wage range for this role is $40-$42/hr + OT @ Tx1.5 + Benefits.
- This role is based in Dunedin, Otago, South Island of New Zealand.
- Travel within the South Island may be required from time to time to assist with outages and/or emergency work in other regions.
