OneStaff New Plymouth is the leading supplier of temporary and permanent staff to many industrial-based clients in New Plymouth.
Our client is a provider of specialist plumbing, gas-fitting, pipeline construction and management services to the residential, commercial and industrial markets, drawing on more than 30 years of experience. Originally formed as a service provider for plumbing to offshore stations, our client has evolved from hand tools and small PE lines to excavators, side booms and large steel gas lines.
We are assisting our client to seek a skilled and dedicated individual to join their team as a Chip Spreader Driver with a twist - you'll be rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in the laboring aspect too!
What You'll Do:
- Drive Class 5 trucks equipped with chip spreading equipment.
- Operate chip spreader machinery efficiently and safely.
- Assist in the laboring aspect of road maintenance projects.
- Work closely with our team to ensure projects are completed on time and to high standards.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies at all times.
What We're Looking For:
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Be able to drive a road ranger gear box
- Previous experience in operating chip spreaders or similar machinery preferred.
- Willingness to get hands-on with laboring tasks as needed.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all regulations.
- Flexibility to work variable hours and weekends as required.
