SERVICE ELECTRICIAN

Due to our continued growth, we have a great opportunity for qualified electricians or third/fourth year skilled apprentices to join Grammar!

• Guaranteed 40 hours per week but we are a flexible employer with employee and subcontractor options available, if you want to work 3 days per week or require school drop up or pick up is fine by us!

• We are currently putting in a huge investment into our service department. Regular social events, upskilling, personal development with the opportunity to move into Area Manager roles.

Duties

• Review job calls each day and respond to fault or emergency requests
• Identify electrical problem areas on-site that need replacement or repair and provide accurate quoting of jobs
• Troubleshoot and ensure that the electrical system is working properly before leaving client location
• Perform home automation, equipment installation and troubleshooting
• Routinely inspect electrical systems such as wiring, fixtures, devices, drives, power and lighting and conduct repairs/corrections as needed
• Provide suggestions for equipment/fixture/device replacement
• Write electrical maintenance reports as needed
• Adhere to regulatory health, safety and performance standards

Skills and Experience

• Valid EWRB license
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
• Current and unrestricted Driver’s License
• 3rd/4th year apprentice or 1 year minimum experience as a qualified Service Electrician / about to qualify
• Relevant work exposures in Lighting Install, Design & Repair, CCTV, Security and Fire Alarm Systems, Heat Pump/Air Conditioning Repair & Install, Home Ventilation, Underfloor Heating and the like
• Adheres to a high standard of workmanship
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
