Duties and responsibilities include:

• Moving carcasses to freezers and chillers
• Packing and loading meat
• Meat processing, cutting, trimming, deboning, grinding, mincing and shaping
• Completing quality checks as required and follow production guidelines and specifications
• Shape, lace and tie roasts, using boning knife, skewer and tine
• Operating machines to mince, grind and tenderize meat
• Wash down processing rooms
• Working as a team to meet production targets
• Create or acquire labels for each packet by ensuring that type, date of expiry and weight is mentioned
• Maintain machinery and other equipment such as knives
• Performing other processing tasks as assigned.
• Other butcher tasks as required

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years Butchery experience or equivalent of a NZ Cert in Meat Processing
• Able to work with Lamb and Beef
• Team Player
• Physically Fit
• Working on your feet and conducting repetitive movement

Rate: $29.66+ Hours: Min 30 hours - Max 45 hours

Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug Test.
