Description

We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager for an aged care facility in Mt Wellington Auckland

As a Clinical Nurse Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional care and leadership.

Duties:

  • Ensure a smooth orientation process for new staff members, fostering a positive and welcoming environment.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation, ensuring compliance with all employee-related requirements.
  • Manage the database and waiting list with professionalism, maintaining regular contact with consumers.
  • Complete all necessary reporting and orientation checklists for clinical managers.
  • Provide training to clinical staff, ensuring they are well-versed in identifying and managing clinical risks.
  • Ensure adherence to reporting procedures and protocols.
  • Design rosters that optimize staffing and resource utilization.

Skills and Experience:

  • Possess at least 3 years of previous experience in a leadership position, with a preference for aged care experience.
  • Hold a current New Zealand practicing certificate
  • Demonstrate recent experience in clinical or management roles within a continuing care hospital facility.
  • Exhibit strong management and administration skills.
  • Display exceptional people skills and empathy towards the elderly and their families.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

This is a full-time position, offering 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. As a Clinical Nurse Manager, you will also be required to be on-call ensuring continuous support for the team.
