Truck Drivers- Part time

About the role

Phoenix Recycling is a well-established scrap metal and recycling business. We’re looking for an experienced Class 5 Self-loader Truck Driver to join our friendly, hardworking team.

This is a hands-on, stable role with variety — driving, operating a Hiab, and supporting yard operations. You’ll be home daily (no long-haul). Whether you’re looking for casual, contract, or fixed term work, we’re keen to work in with you.

Key responsibilities

*Drive Class 5 trucks transporting scrap metal *Operate a Hiab crane safely and confidently *Load and unload materials at customer sites and yard *Complete delivery paperwork and daily vehicle checks *Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety standards *Assist in the yard when required

What you’ll need

*Valid NZ Class 5 driver’s licence *Must have road-ranger gearbox and Hiab/ Palfinger experience - no exceptions *Physically fit (regular lifting up to 20kg) *Strong health & safety awareness *Eroad experience is an advantage *Able to pass pre-employment drug & criminal checks *Must have current working rights in New Zealand

This role is required to provide cover during periods of staff leave.
