I was traveling from out of town to purchase my vehicle. Prior to purchasing the car the team sent me extra pictures, were great over the phone calls and emails. Arriving in Auckland to make the purchase the team were fast and thorough and fantastic to deal with and went out of thier way to provide additional services. The whole experience was flawless.

I’m extremely disappointed with my overall experience with 2 Cheap Cars, particularly the after-sales support. On the very first day of purchasing my BMW 320i, I noticed multiple issues — the car key battery was completely flat, and the rear door weather seal was loose and hanging. I reported these concerns the very next day. Instead of arranging a straightforward fix for a newly purchased vehicle, I was redirected to lodge a claim. The claims team then directed me to the insurance company, which rejected the claim and sent me back to them. For issues that were clearly present from day one, being passed back and forth like this felt completely unreasonable and avoidable. In addition, my experience with the sales representative, Jun Kim, was not pleasant. Even before the sale was completed, the communication felt dismissive and at times rude. Unfortunately, the after-sales service was even worse, which set the tone for what became a very frustrating overall experience. After I posted my initial review, the company contacted me and assured me that the issue would be fixed at their claims office in 102 Mays Road. I booked an appointment and took the vehicle there expecting a proper resolution. However, the service I received was even more disappointing. Instead of properly replacing or repairing the weather seal, the technician cut the seal open in the middle and applied glue that did not even stick. When I questioned this, I was told it “just needs time to dry.” The repair was done in a very unprofessional manner and has actually made the issue worse than before. Honestly, even someone with no experience working on cars would not attempt to fix a weather seal in this way. As a customer purchasing a vehicle, I expected professionalism, accountability, and proper after-sales support. Instead, I was passed between departments and ultimately given a repair that appears careless and poorly executed. Buying a car should come with confidence that any immediate faults will be handled responsibly. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience here. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both their customer service and their post-purchase repair standards.
