Steve knows his product, listened and understood my needs. He offered a couple of options and explained why the car I chose would best suit my needs. He took the time to find out not just what but why I needed from the car and gave me plenty of time to make a good decision.

My entire experience with Drive EV Taupo has been fantastic ! The team were very knowledgeable and helped me at every stage of my EV purchasing experience. Once I had found a vehicle that I was interested in, the team supported me with finance and went the extra mile. I was updated every step of the way, to the point where I received my new vehicle. I am hugely grateful to Drive EV, and would highly recommend them to others.

I've enquired about two cars. The second I bought.
On one hand I find communications to be very knowledgeable and they defiantely have ALL the details, but there's an assumed knowledge, so I ended up doing a lot of reading myself. This is probably normal however, given a move to the first EV.
With the first comms when enquiring about a car I asked questions which I got good answers for, then I asked if other cars would be coming that might be more suited to me and I felt like I was dropped as a possible customer and received no response.
However everything I've read about DriveEV enspires me to buy my first EV from them and hense I gave it another shot and got a more favourable Model S (with black interior and MU2).
Summary - it may have been an accident that I was dropped but it wasn't a great feeling. However, from the information I've read about Drive EV, especially in house repares and comms when buying I feel assured they're a good company to buy from.
Since agreeing to buy there have been a number of hold ups to getting the vehicle. These aren't their fault, but it's disapointing. Probably my fault for buying at Christmas time. :( Steve has communicated well therough these issues though.

My son spoke to one of his friends, said I had gone to Taupo to buy a new car, his friend was gobsmacked that I hadn’t asked someone (who knew about vehicles) to come with me to help me choosing a car.
I had dealt with Steve about buying a charger for a Nissan Leaf and he sorted out everything for me.
I had trust in Steve and knew he would sort out a car that would be suitable for me.
As it turned out Steve was unavailable the day I came up to buy the car, but he had arranged for Mindy his wife, to come and help me out. She was great, well informed about the car and knew nearly as much as Steve.
Have spoken to my younger brother who lives in Gisborne and recommended Steve to him, when he comes to buy an EV.

Drive EV have been great, they have offered us good depth of knowledge and longer test periods so we could find out how we really got on with the EV. They offer great services such as the 3 year warranty. We felt comfortable to finally buy our first EV!
