A well-established Hawke's Bay CA firm is looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join their Business Advisory team. This is a great opportunity to build your technical capability, work with a loyal client base across varied industries, and grow your career in a supportive and balanced environment.
About the Role You will:
- Prepare annual accounts, tax returns, and compliance reporting
- Assist with advisory work including tax planning, budgeting, cashflow and Xero support
- Build strong client relationships and deliver high-quality, accurate work
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture
About You We're looking for someone with:
- 2-4 years' experience in a NZ CA firm (BAS/compliance/advisory)
- Sound knowledge of financial reporting, Income Tax, GST, FBT, and IRD processes
- Strong Xero and digital systems capability
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, growth-focused mindset
- A team-orientated attitude with no ego or drama
- Practical experience is essential; formal qualifications are welcomed but not mandatory
