Part-time (3-4 days/week) | $70,000 - $90,000 FTE equivalent

Ready to take ownership of accounts in a growing business? We're looking for an experienced accounts professional who loves getting the numbers right and has initiative.

About Us Fire Solutions Limited is a specialist fire protection company designing and installing fire sprinkler and alarm systems for major construction projects across New Zealand. With 40+ staff, we're well-established, growing and focused on building strong systems to support our next phase of growth.

The Role Reporting to the General Manager, you'll manage our internal accounting, payroll, and office administration. Key responsibilities include:

  • GST, FBT, and PAYE returns
  • Accounts receivable, debtor invoicing, and retention tracking
  • Weekly/monthly payroll processing
  • Month-end reconciliations and management reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Job Costs)
  • Option to do Accounts Payable 1 day a week
  • General office administration
  • Contributing to reporting improvements and process enhancements

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years' experience in a NZ accounts/bookkeeping role
  • Solid understanding of NZ tax compliance (GST, PAYE, FBT)
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP essential; Power Query a bonus)
  • NZ payroll experience
  • Sharp analytical thinker, detail-driven, and a proactive mindset
  • Bonus: Construction industry experience or Accredo software knowledge We value practical experience and a can-do attitude over formal qualifications.

What We Offer

  • $70,000 - $90,000 FTE (pro-rata for part-time)
  • Flexible hours 3 or 4 days equivalent per week (4 days including Accounts Payable)
