Description
Local commercial construction firm looking for an accounts administrator to assist with our business bookkeeping. 20-30 hours per week - can be during school hours. Opportunity to grow the role over time.
Responsibilities will include:
- Creditors – processing Creditor invoices through to payment, and working with the QS team to ensure Payment Schedules are processed
- Weekly payroll for 20+ staff
- Preparation of GST & FBT returns
- Bank reconciliations, Report Generation, Journals and GL transactions
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Compiling information for the Financial Controller to prepare WIP and analyse financial performance
- Provide information to the external accountants to support the preparation of financial statements and tax filings as required
- General administrative tasks as required
Skills we are looking for:
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to maintaining the integrity of financial information
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Qualifications & Experience
- Book keeping or accounts administration experience is required
- A relevant qualification would be advantageous but not essential
