Finance Manager

Premium Meats South NZ Limited is a 100% halal meat and poultry supplier based in Christchurch. We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team. The Finance Manager is responsible for the financial and management reporting of the business. The key responsibilities include: * Overseeing and managing all aspects of the finance status of the business.

• Preparing budgets, review against actual expenditure.
• Prepare monthly management accounts (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement).
• Monitoring expenses and variations to budget
• Preparing financial reports and oversight of the month-end process including the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations and production of internal profit and loss statements.
• Analysing financial information and reporting on financial performance.
• Cashflow forecasting.
• Ensure financial processes and records are maintained and delivered in an accurate and timely manner including responsibilities for: o Monthly payment of creditor accounts within trading terms.
• Production and distribution of invoices for goods rendered.
• Management of debtors within acceptable trading terms and work with debtors to reduce outstanding debts to current trading terms.
• General ledger and bank reconciliations on a monthly basis ensuring that all accounts reconcile.
• Overseeing and authorising financial transactions.
• Payroll services including payroll systems, maintenance of employee databases and entitlements.
• Maintain accurate long service leave, annual leave and personal leave liabilities and report high balances.
• Preparing GST returns and PAYE returns.
• Undertake business income tax calculation and filing.
• Coordinate and liaise with external chartered accountant. This role is for 40 hours per week, and the salary will be in the range of $85,000 to $100,000 dependant on experience. Applicants should have a relevant Bachelor degree in commerce or business with a major in accounting or finance or similar, and a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
