Head of Commercial - Marketplace and Jobs

We're looking for a Head of Commercial to join our Senior Leadership Team in Auckland.

Reporting to our CFO, you aren't just reporting on the numbers; you are shaping the future of the business. You'll be the commercial engine for our Marketplace and Jobs portfolios, acting as a Commercial Co-pilot to drive strategic direction and sustainable growth.

• Strategic Leadership: Act as a trusted commercial counsel to the Marketplace & Jobs Executive team, providing the commercial gravity needed to validate or challenge business model pivots
• Own the numbers: From coordinating monthly board reporting to delivering annual budgets, you'll be key in leading the full planning and analysis cycle for your portfolio
• Rigorous Financial Discipline: Drive optimal capital allocation by proactively scrutinising commercial assumptions, managing cost drivers, and making the tough prioritisation decisions to focus on high-value initiatives
• High-Impact Business Partnering: Build deep, influential relationships across Product, Marketing, and Sales to diagnose performance variances and lead cross-functional action plans to hit OKRs
• Shape the Future: Leverage AI and emerging technologies to shift the team's focus from data consolidation toward high-value strategic analysis
• Lead and Coach: Own the day-to-day activities of your Commercial Business Partners and Analysts, fostering a high-performance culture through active coaching
• M and A and Partnerships: Work closely with the Head of M and A to identify, size, and execute opportunities that expand our Marketplace and Jobs footprint

What you will bring to our team:

• Proven Track Record: 10+ years of experience in finance or commercial leadership, with at least 5 years advising C-Suite leaders
• Commercial Grit: The ability to constructively challenge senior leadership and the Board to ensure we focus on the highest-value initiatives
• Tech Savvy: Expertise in software pricing and go-to-market strategy, with a healthy curiosity for AI applications
• Analytical Power: Strong financial modelling skills with the ability to evaluate complex new market entries or product launches
• Qualifications: A CA/CPA or equivalent advanced qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce
