Description

We’re looking for two capable and motivated people to join our team for the 2026 harvest season on our 545ha irrigated arable farm near Methven, Mid-Canterbury. One position is full-time permanent and the other is a seasonal position.

About the role: You’ll assist with all aspects of harvest and arable operations. There will also be some sheep work in the autumn. Starting early to middle of January. Duties include:

Grain carting Working with augers and silos Cultivation work Sheep work General farm and machinery operations About you: You must have previous experience in cereal harvesting and be confident working around machinery. The ideal candidate will:

Have a strong work ethic and take pride in doing the job well Be reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious Work carefully and precisely with attention to detail Bring energy, initiative, and a willingness to keep learning Hold a full Driver’s Licence Provide references (written preferred) Eligibility: Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or hold a valid NZ Working Holiday Visa. Please note: we are not AEWV-accredited and cannot employ under that visa scheme.

Accommodation: Shared single-person accommodation is available on-farm, or rental options can be found in nearby Methven township.
