Wai Eyre Farm is a family owned well-established beef, and equine stud operation situated 25 minutes north of Christchurch in East Eyreton, on 1000 acres.
We are offering a part time/full time, permanent position for a farm worker with the skills and enthusiasm to carry out cattle work, general farm duties, irrigation and tractor work.
You will be required to exhibit excellent stockmanship, have great communication skills and possess the ability to work well within our team, which also includes horse stud staff. You will need to be honest and reliable with a sense of humour.
We believe this position could suit someone exiting the dairy industry or someone who wishes to locate to a central location close to amenities.
We don’t see this as an entry level position and you will need the following experience and skills:
- Ability to identify and treat health issues
- Attention to detail
- Tractor and farm machinery operation
- Fencing skills an advantage
- Irrigation experience an advantage
- Accuracy with record keeping
- Ability to comply with our health and safety system
Wai Eyre is handily located to the towns of Rangiora, Kaiapoi and close to Christchurch city.
