THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re looking for a Dairy Farm Assistant to join the high-performing team at Eyrewell Dairy. In this role, you’ll assist with a range of farm tasks — from milking, calving, and feeding stock, to effluent management, spraying, and fencing.
You’ll play an important part in the day-to-day operations and work closely with your team to help meet production and animal welfare goals.
You’ll receive full training and support, and we’ll encourage you to take the initiative, develop your skills, and support newer team members along the way. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a great work ethic and a passion for farming.

THE FARM
Located in West Eyreton, 10 minutes from Oxford and 25 minutes from Rangiora. This is a 450 effective ha farm and milks 950 cows through a 60-bale rotary, rearing heifer replacement calves. The location offers easy access to a range of recreational activities.
ABOUT YOU
You’ll bring a willingness to learn, get stuck in, and contribute to the team’s success. Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Experience in a similar dairy farming role (or a strong interest in developing one)
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A proactive attitude with initiative and commitment to animal welfare and health & safety
- The ability to coach and support junior or new staff where required
- A current NZ restricted or full driver’s licence
