Description

Wilton Agriculture, a family-owned business covering South Canterbury and North Otago, is seeking a dedicated tractor operator to join our team in a full-time, permanent capacity.

You will be joining a long-standing small team. Our company specialises in effluent and muck spreading, and we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service to our clients while maintaining a positive and supportive working environment for our staff.

Role Requirements and Desired Attributes

  • Applicants must hold a minimum Class 1 license.
  • A minimum of 3 years tractor operating experience required (experience with slurry tankers, muck spreaders and/or umbilical spreading is preferred but not essential).
  • We are seeking someone who is confident operating machinery, practical, mechanically minded and demonstrates strong attention to detail.
  • A commitment to maintaining machinery cleanliness and completing tasks to a very high standard is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be reliable, be highly motivated, and maintain a clear focus on customer satisfaction.
  • A dedication to following health, safety and environmental practices.
  • The ability to follow instructions and adapt as needed is important for this role.
  • Willingness to learn new skills is encouraged.
  • Have the flexibility to work weekends and extended hours when required.
