Senlac Station is seeking a capable and motivated Block Manager to take the reins of Totaranui Farm, a 500ha rolling hill country block based 20 minutes west of Waipukurau, running 4500su and consisting of lambing hoggets, 2ths and R1 bulls.
This is a great opportunity to lead the day-to-day operations and play a key role in our young stock breeding and finishing program. You’ll be focused on stock performance, particularly driving weight gains, so a strong understanding of feeding and animal management is essential.
You may already have proven experience in this space, or you could be ready to step up into a management role. Either way, you'll have the autonomy to run the block while also benefiting from the support and camaraderie of a wider team, with the main station and team of 4 staff 45 minutes away.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Implementation of farm policy including day-to-day stock management
- Basic repairs and maintenance
- Monitoring and recording performance in order to meet production targets
