Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you an experienced calf-rearer looking to take the next step, or maybe you already have experience leading a team, either way we’d love to hear from you.

As the Head Calf Rearer, you will manage the daily logistics, the team and operations of the calf shed.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting with animal health treatments & vaccinations
  • Feeding calves, milk mix requirements
  • Organising staff and general day to day planning
  • Weighing and trucking

This is a drive in/drive out position.

Fixed-term starts mid-July and goes until the end of November, you will get a guaranteed 30 hours a week, with the possibility to work more hours.

THE FARM

Victory Dairy is a large-scale, well-run operation milking 950 cows through a 54-bail rotary shed twice a day. It’s a busy farm with plenty of variety, making it a great place to build your skills, grow your confidence, and take the next step in your dairy career.

ABOUT YOU

You’re someone who takes pride in doing things well, whether it's ensuring the health and growth of the calves, maintaining the facility's presentation, or stepping up to support your team.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in calf rearing
  • Understanding of animal health and welfare practices
  • Organisational and leadership skills
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance
  • A restricted or full driver’s licence
  • Your own transport and accommodation
