THE OPPORTUNITY
Join our team on Burgess Dairy and play a key role in rearing our next generation dairy cattle.
You’ll be responsible for caring for young calves, feeding, weighing, drafting, drenching, and monitoring their health and welfare. You may also assist with milking and general farm duties when required.
This is a drive in/drive out role, so reliable transport is required.
This is a fixed term position from July to October 2026, and we can guarantee at least 20 of hours each week.
THE FARM
Burgess Dairy Unit is a 258 effective ha property, milking 630 cows through a 54-bail rotary with ACR’s.
We are just a handy 10-minute drive from Taupo.
ABOUT YOU
With a mix of roles available, we need some experience, and this is an opportunity for someone with no prior experience required, training is provided. If you’re someone who takes pride in doing the job right and has a real care for animals, loves working outdoors, then we want to hear from you.
You have an exceptional attitude to health and safety and animal welfare
You are physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
You hold a restricted or full driver’s license
