Forestry Worker

Location: Nelson/Tasman Starting as soon as possible.

We are looking for silvicultural workers to join a crew focused mainly on pruning and planting.

Other tasks may include chainsaw operation, e-thinning, spraying, granule application, firefighting, and other general forestry duties.

Forestry pruning and planting experience preferred, but training would be offered to the right candidate. Unit standards or qualifications are preferred but not essential. First aid certification is an advantage.

Hours of work: Work starts at daylight (can vary) and Monday to Friday. Minimum 30 hours per week. Potential option to work additional hours or weekends.

Pay rate will be based on experience and start at $30.00 with potential to earn up to $50.00 per hour.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and ongoing random testing.

All successful candidates will receive an individual employment agreement outlining all entitlements, health & safety requirements, employment protection, and resolution of employment relationship issues.
