Top Crops Limited operates horticulture and orchard services in the Tauranga region and requires Horticulture Leading Hands to support supervisors and lead small teams in daily orchard operations. These roles are essential to coordinate seasonal tasks, maintain work quality, and ensure safe and efficient horticultural practices across orchard sites.

Pay Rate:$30 – $35 per hour

Hours of Work:30 – 40 hours per week Key Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience or Level 4 Qualification. Key Responsibilities
• Lead small teams in daily horticultural and orchard tasks.
• Carry out and supervise pruning, thinning, canopy management, and general orchard work.
• Allocate tasks and monitor productivity and work quality.
• Train new workers in correct horticultural techniques and safety procedures.
• Operate orchard tools and equipment safely (e.g. secateurs, loppers, pole saws, ATVs if trained).
• Assist supervisors with planning and coordinating seasonal programmes.
• Maintain orchard hygiene, safety, and biosecurity standards.
• Monitor plant health and report pest, disease, or safety issues.
• Support irrigation checks, orchard maintenance, and general site work.
• Maintain basic records of work completed and team attendance.
