Brownrigg Agriculture is entering our peak harvest season and is looking for a reliable, detail-focused Quality Control (QC) professional to join our packhouse team.
The successful candidate will play a key role within our squash or onion packhouse, ensuring produce meets export standards from arrival out of the field through to final checks after processing. While the role requires the ability to work independently, it also involves working closely as part of a four-person QC team
To succeed in this role, you will bring the following skills and qualities:
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Physically fit and comfortable working at pace in a packhouse environment
- Safety-conscious, with a willingness to follow procedures and speak up if something isn’t right
- Reliable and able to stay focused during peak production periods
- Basic Excel skills to enter data on shared spreadsheets
- Previous experience in quality control, packhouse, food production, or similar role is an advantage
About the Role
- Seasonal role from January 2026 until Mid-April 2026
- Minimum guaranteed hours of 30 a week worked on a weekly roster.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early starts and late finishes when packhouse operations require it.
- Pay rate: $27 – $30 per hour, depending on experience
- Based in Poukawa, 20 minutes south of Hastings.
